About Me

My name is Tim Dwyer, and I'm not the most diligent, I'm not the most thought provoking and I'm not the funniest guy you'll ever meet. But in my spare time I try and find a few sites here and there that I can recommend as sites that provide a better perspective on health.

I don't really do guest posts, but I will on occasion link to sites I like and think provide you with some benefits. Right now I really like the layout of the review site WhereToBuyHCGDrops.net (sort of a goofy name,) and OneStopTreatment.com. They do in depth reviews on the lesser known health supplements out there.

I did buy this site from a friend so you will see some older articles with links in them, some I left, some I didn't just depending on how much I liked the site.

Tips for Selecting and Buying a Do It Yourself Aluminum Carport

Aluminum carports are good home improvement options if you want to provide shelter and protection to your vehicle from harmful elements such as the sun, wind, rain, and snow. It can also help in keeping unwanted people away from your vehicle, preventing vandalism and theft. Other than that, a decent carport can add to your home’s value should you need to get a mortgage or if you are planning on reselling your property. However, building carports should be done the right way so that you don’t compromise the structural integrity of your shelter and to avoid problems and accidents in the future.

It’s no question that carports are inexpensive compared building a garage. However, you can still rack up some savings if you build your aluminum carport yourself compared to buying a prefabricated carport kit. There are many plans available for DIY carports and one of the advantages of these plans is that you can do modifications and improvisations without the need to consult an engineer or a professional. If you are in the market looking for a Do It Yourself aluminum carport, you should compare plans carefully as they are not created equal. You want to make sure that you are getting the right type of plan for the carport that will best suit your requirements as well as your property.

The zoning law is very important. Before you start your carport project, you should ask your local building code department or a building inspector for specifics and permits that you will need so that you will not have any problems in terms of legality. A building inspector can also give you insight on what you need to do in terms of digging foundations and drainage systems, especially if you live in an area where it’s usually cold and raining. Other factors that you need to consider include height of the structure, style of the roof, colors and the design. To make you structure more valuable, you want it to match the design and structure of your house – whether you are going to attach it to your home or you’ll have it as a freestanding structure.
