The Audi A3

The Audi A3 is one of Audi’s more popular and successful models. The small family car has been produced since 1996, and has evolved into two generations of comfort, performance, and good engineering. It is the car that helped increase the sales of Audi early in the year 2000, and has helped open the company’s market to a wider range of consumers.

The first generation of the A3 began in 1996, which used the A4 platform and shared styling and engineering from other cars, such as the Audi TT, and the Volkswagen Golf. It ran on both petrol and diesel, and had varying engine sizes that suit many different kinds of drivers. This generation has been successful, and even today used Audi A3 cars are still being bought from used-car dealerships.

Between 1996 and 2003, the first generation A3 underwent many changes, both in style, engineering, and safety. Newer and better headlights were developed, as well as rear lights. The interior had been redesigned to provide more comfort and accommodation. Some variants even received a new 6 speed gearbox, and some had adopted a four-wheel-drive system.

For many who purchase used vehiches, an Audi A3 from these years proves to be a very good choice, especially for Audi fans. But for those who wish to get the newer generation, they can still get the most modern one today.

The second generation’s oldest variants were produced back in 2003, and the newer ones are still being manufactured today. This generation made many modern modifications to the first one, which includes a more spacious interior, newer engines, and many variants now have the 6-speed gearbox as standard.

There were also sports variants that were made with better engines, better performance, and better technology, all catered to the sportier and younger crowd. And the A3 continues to evolve, with the latest one, dubbed a “clean diesel” car.
