About Me

My name is Tim Dwyer, and I'm not the most diligent, I'm not the most thought provoking and I'm not the funniest guy you'll ever meet. But in my spare time I try and find a few sites here and there that I can recommend as sites that provide a better perspective on health.

I don't really do guest posts, but I will on occasion link to sites I like and think provide you with some benefits. Right now I really like the layout of the review site WhereToBuyHCGDrops.net (sort of a goofy name,) and OneStopTreatment.com. They do in depth reviews on the lesser known health supplements out there.

I did buy this site from a friend so you will see some older articles with links in them, some I left, some I didn't just depending on how much I liked the site.

Change Your Diet To Overcome Acid Reflux

Although there are many causes of acid reflux, the most common trigger of this condition is poor diet. Many people eat just about anything that will not kill them and the result is that there is imbalance and poor food processes in the stomach. When one eats foods with high acidity levels, high fatty and greasy content, carbon dioxide and low water content, the result is that there will be excessive acidity in the stomach. Although the stomach is naturally acidic with hydrochloric acid, this is usually controlled and the acid is necessary for digestion to take place. However, upsetting this balance can either lead to acid reflux when there is too much acidity or poor digestion when there is too low acidity.

You do not have to put up with acid reflux, because you can easily avoid the discomfort, bitterness and pain by simply adopting the right diet for acid reflux. Different people suffer from different forms of acid reflux, these being dependent on what causes the reflux and the symptoms. If you are serious about overcoming acid reflux, you will need to act on your own and sort out your dietary habits in order to identify the exact cause of the reflux. Although there are many causes of acid reflux including poor lifestyle, genetic causes and health conditions, you should first start by analyzing your diet because over 90 percent of acid reflux cases are as a result of acid reflux.

It is best to check the food you eat and how you eat in order to know what could be causing acid reflux. Just analyze the contents of the food you eat and eradicate the ones with high acidity content, those that are too fatty and eliminate those with carbon dioxide and other preservatives as well. If you still get acid reflux after this, have a closer look at the symptoms to determine the cause.

It is true that the acid reflux symptoms in women are more profound and severe, especially during the hormonal changes period and during pregnancy. However, dealing with any form of acid reflux follows the same procedure pretty much. A patient will have to make sacrifices on the times they eat, the kind of food they eat, the quantities of food eaten at a time and what they do especially after eating. These are sure ways to be sure that there is no loophole for acid reflux to take control of one’s life.
