About Me

My name is Tim Dwyer, and I'm not the most diligent, I'm not the most thought provoking and I'm not the funniest guy you'll ever meet. But in my spare time I try and find a few sites here and there that I can recommend as sites that provide a better perspective on health.

I don't really do guest posts, but I will on occasion link to sites I like and think provide you with some benefits. Right now I really like the layout of the review site WhereToBuyHCGDrops.net (sort of a goofy name,) and OneStopTreatment.com. They do in depth reviews on the lesser known health supplements out there.

I did buy this site from a friend so you will see some older articles with links in them, some I left, some I didn't just depending on how much I liked the site.

5 Tips For Buying Running Machines

Getting active and doing some regular exercise can work wonders with your health, but it might also affect your emotional and financial well-being if you are not careful. Running machines can be a great investment but unfortunately might also come with a rather large price tag. So to get more exercise and to really enjoy the benefits of a treadmill running machine, keep a few things in mind before going to the store to buy one.

1. Budget – set yourself a budget before you even leave your home. You’ll need to work out how much you can afford to spend and make sure that number is set in stone. Don’t let anybody change your mind on this. There are some very expensive treadmills out there with all sorts of functions, but do you really need all of those extra bells and whistles? A cheaper model will save you a ton of money and will probably be all you need in a running machine.

2. Features and Functions – now would also be a good time to think about what features you are going to need from your machine. On the whole, these pieces of equipment come fully loaded with a series of stuff you really won’t need. Since each one will add to the price tag, make sure you know what you want and what you don’t need. Avoid falling into the “shiny object, must have it” trap.

3. Noise – this is an important point to consider if you have easily irritated neighbors or you have babies or small children in the house. Make sure you spend a while investigating the amount of noise generated by each machine on your shortlist. Avoid the ones with a high noise rating to keep the neighbors happy and the babies asleep and quiet!

4. Dimensions – remember to measure the area in your home where you intend to use your treadmill, and also where you are going to store it when not in use. Depending on the size of your home, you will of course need to consider different buying options, perhaps getting one of the big motorized running machines if you live in a large house, or a small manual treadmill for a one bedroom apartment.

5. Manual or Motorized – if size is no option, then you have a choice of either a manual or a motorized treadmill. The motorized ones tend to be much better, but have a price premium, usually being significantly more expensive than the average manual. However, manual running machines will obviously not break down as often as ones with motors.
